its easy only... just power off the garmin device. then touch the top right corner of the screen. then while touching the screen, power on the device, and it will popup a message asking you whether you want to clear the user data, etc. just select Yes, and thats it!
note: this will clear all your settings, such as GPS lock, locations, favorites, trip data etc... however, your SD card will be intact...
