Turning off shutter sound from phone when taking pictures/video

:P <--- try changing the profile of the phone to Meeting or Silent.... and then try to take a picture... no more sound? YAY! u can press the power button softly once, and a menu will appear, change accordingly to enable/disable the camera sound.

OR
go to Menu, Settings, Personal, Profiles, Choose any profile that you use when taking pictures, go to Options, Personalise. then for Warning tones, put to Off. But beware some applications will have no sound (such as Java Games).

OR
use cCam. this program can be installed in symbian phones. It doesn't generate any sound when taking pictures. it has the same capability as your included phone camera program. just press up down to zoom, and the normal camera snap button to take picture :P

OR another method which i did not try yet. i took it from a forum. here goes... Note: before you do this, make sure you do a backup using instructions from here, and also you will need to *ahem* your phone using here. then follow instructions below:

Disable the camera sounds in my 5800XM(hacked by HaloOx1.03)

Note: i have removed the Capson/Off thingy from here, because if you followed this way, you don't need it anymore, it is the easiest way to access everything in your phone (and install anything (unsigned) in your phone :P)!

1. Open X-plore/y-browser
2. Goto "Z:\Private\10202be9\101F8809.txt"
3. Copy the file to "C:\Private\10202be9\101F8809.txt"
4. Edit the file "101F8809.txt"
5. At the end of the file, u will find the line

0x7 int 1 0 cap_rd=alwayspass
cap_wr=alwaysfail

6. Then change it to

0x7 int 0 0 cap_rd=alwayspass
cap_wr=alwaysfail

7. Save the file and exit X-plore
8. Turn off "Warning tones" in ur profile
9. Restart the phone.
10. Select "silent" profile.

Ps : only works in "silent" profile.

Lately, confirmed work in another profile with warning tone switched off
